Liverpool’s bid to retain the Premier League title has stalled in recent weeks with the Reds without a win in four games, but they will look to get back on track when they host Burnley on Thursday night.

Draws with West Brom, Newcastle and Manchester United along with a defeat to Southampton have left Jurgen Klopp’s team fourth in the table.

Even victory over the Clarets cannot improve that position, but it would put them back within three points of Manchester United at the top of the division.

Burnley are battling at the other end of the table, currently 17th and four points from safety.

If they can get a result at Anfield it would be a huge bonus in their fight for survival this season.
