Burnley have reportedly made an enquiry for Liverpool’s unexpected star defender Nat Phillips.

Phillips, 24, stepped up under immense pressure for Klopp’s men last season after injuries to Van Dijk and Gomez.

But the return of Van Dijk and Gomez next season will make Phillips’ game-time limited.

And The Sun report that Phillips is attracting interest from both Newcastle and Sean Dyche’s Burnley this summer.

Phillips’ consistency towards the end of the season appears to be making him an attractive proposition for Premier League sides.
