Philippe Coutinho has made a decision about his Barcelona future involving his former club Liverpool amid interest from Manchester United.
Philippe Coutinho has been the subject of transfer interest from Manchester United this summer as his Barcelona career continues to stall.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to improve his playing squad after a disappointing end to the season which saw United miss out on Champions League qualification.
Coutinho, 27, is seen as a perfect potential addition at Old Trafford after after impressing in the Premier League for Liverpool between 2013 and 2018.
However, Sky Sports have now claimed that the playmaker will refuse any possible deal to join United as a mark of respect for his former club.
The Brazil international scored 41 goals and assisted a further 35 in his 152 appearances for the Reds before forcing through a transfer to Spain.

Liverpool have discussed a possible move for Kalidou Koulibaly with the Napoli defender’s agent, shock reports in Italy claim, in what would be a blow to Manchester United.
The Napoli defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.
Manchester United have been credited with interest in Koulibaly, 27, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyes a new centre-back.
However, according to Italian newspaper Il , Liverpool are thinking about making an official bid for Koulibaly.
The defender has been on Klopp’s radar for some time and Liverpool have contacted Koulibaly’s agent, they add.
The Reds face stiff competition for Koulibaly’s signature from Solskjaer’s United, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain.
But, Napoli are hoping for around £107m (€120m) for the Senegalese defender.

Kylian Mbappe sends Liverpool fans into frenzy
Kylian Mbappe set Liverpool fans’ hearts racing on Monday after he followed a group of current and ex-Reds players on Instagram.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward is currently on holiday in Tokyo, following a break in California.
Mbappe has given Liverpool fans hope he could be on the move, after some suspicious Instagram activity.
On Monday, one eagle-eyed fan noted that he had followed Liverpool players past and present, including Fabinho and Mohamed Salah.
He also followed former Reds Philippe Coutinho, Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, along with other rumoured transfer targets Nabil Fekir and Memphis Depay.
To further set pulses racing, he also posted an Instagram story with a black background and the caption: “SOON”, leading many to hope he was referring to a potential move to Anfield.

Ousmane Dembele deal green light
Liverpool have been given the green light by Barcelona to sign Ousmane Dembele this summer.
The France international has been inconsistent at the Nou Camp since making the move in 2017.
Barcelona bought Dembele for £90million from Borussia Dortmund.
And the Catalan club want to recoup as much money as possible in order to fund moves for the likes of Antoine Griezmann.
TeamTalk claim intermediaries have told Liverpool Dembele is available for them to sign this summer.
Anfield is said to be the preferred destination for the 22-year-old if he leaves Barcelona.
Dembele netted 14 times and provided nine assists last season as Ernesto Valverde’s side won La Liga.

Why Rangers want Sheyi Ojo
Liverpool have taken the decision to loan Sheyi Ojo to Rangers because of the success Ryan Kent enjoyed under Steven Gerrard last season.
Ojo is expected to become the Gers’ fifth summer signing in the coming days.
The winger, who turns 22 today, was in Scotland yesterday to put the final touches on his season-long move north of the border.
With no opportunity to break back into Liverpool’s senior squad for the coming campaign, Ojo will spend 12 months with Rangers.
And Goal claim that Liverpool hope Ojo can reignite his development in the Scottish Premiership, given how well fellow Liverpool academy graduate Kent did last season.
The 22-year-old was named PFA Scotland’s Young Player of the Year after scoring six times and laying on six assists in 23 league appearances for the Light Blues.
