Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann has urged his old club to sign Kingsley Coman to replace Mohamed Salah if he leaves.
Salah still several years to run on his contract at Anfield, but many feel the Egyptian could be tempted by a fresh challenge elsewhere.
An imminent move to either La Liga side is unlikely in the short term, given financial restrictions on both clubs.
But Hamann feels Liverpool should already be looking at Bayern Munich star Coman to fill the potential void.
“For me, the best winger out there at the moment is Kingsley Coman,” the former Liverpool and Bayern midfielder told Stadium Astro.
“He had injury problems when he came to Munich but he got fit and scored the winner in the Champions League final.
“He’s two-footed, he’s quick, he’s very clever, great decision making and his finishing has improved a lot.
“Coman is the player. Bayern Munich aren’t interested in losing him, he’s happy.”

It’s been an extremely interesting start to the season for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
They got their title defence off to a shaky start as they edged out a seven-goal thriller against Leeds, before going on to conceded seven in a hammering by Aston Villa.
Virgil van Dijk’s season was ended by injury in the 2-2 draw at Everton, leaving the title favourites looking far less secure at the back – especially with Alisson’s injury worries too.
But there’s no slowing down in what is going to be a busy campaign – with Klopp ensuring his men continue at full pace as they bid for more title glory.
The easiest way to keep up with everything going on at Anfield? It’s by signing up.

Hamann added: “If Salah were to move, if he wants to go, which might be quite likely, that will have a knock-on effect.
“Liverpool will have to buy somebody. Whoever they sign, that team will need to buy a replacement. Things happen quickly.”
Salah’s current deal at Liverpool expires in 2023, which would make a cut-price transfer in 2022 the most plausible time for his earliest exit.
By that time Coman (now 24) will be entering his prime years, but Jurgen Klopp seems to have no concern over Salah’s departure.
Where will Salah be playing his football next season? Have your say below.
“We could all look for something else if we want,” said Klopp. “But I think the only reason to leave Liverpool at the moment is the weather.
“What other reason could be there? This is one of the biggest clubs in the world, we pay good money.
“Maybe not the most in the world, but we pay good and we have a sensational stadium with outstanding supporters and we have a fan base all around the world.
“We make changes and bring players in and if a player wants to go, we cannot hold them back. It is just I wouldn’t understand why they would want to go.”
