Jurgen Klopp is expected to make four changes for Liverpool’s Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.
The Reds face the Austrian champions on Wednesday night as the Champions League holders attempt to kick start their group stage after their opening gameweek defeat to Napoli.
Joel Matip will definitely miss out on the trip following the knock he picked up during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at the weekend.
The Cameroonian centre back will likely to replaced in the starting XI by Joe Gomez, while keeper Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri are also unavailable.
Klopp said “(He’s) not available. Joel is not a big one, but we don’t have to take a risk and we don’t want to take a risk.”
The German added to the Liverpool website when asked about the condition of his squad: “In a good mood, good spirits, but we have to wait a little bit to give a final answer about fitness.
“Joel Matip obviously got a slight knock at Sheffield, we have to see how exactly it will be.”
“Apart from that, everybody should be fine. Of course, we have the players who weren’t available last week – that means Shaq is still out; Alisson is very close but for sure not for tomorrow. I think that’s it pretty much.”
Klopp is likely to make alterations to his midfield – with his usual rotation in practice.
Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson all started against the Blades but only the Brazilian is predicted to start against Leipzig.
Naby Keita, who has only had 60minutes of action this season due to injury, should come in against his former club along with James Milner
Divock Origi, who returned from injury at the weekend, will allow Mohamed Salah to have a rest.
Liverpool predicted XI: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson; Keita, Fabinho, Milner; Origi, Firmino, Mane
