Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in limbo with Naby Keita injury worse than first feared

Klopp is already unlikely to be without Thiago for the trip to Portugal, meaning that their midfield is weakened further for a crucial game, with a game against Manchester City following shortly after.

Thankfully for the Liverpool boss, Alexander-Arnold and Firmino should return in time for the visit to Brentford in the Premier League in Saturday, and it’ll be the 60th new stadium that Liverpool have played in during the Premier League era, winning at 57 of those grounds.

However, squad depth is something that Klopp will be relying on this season, and their next three games against Brentford, Porto and Manchester City all fall within an eight day period before the next international break.

Liverpool remain unbeaten so far this season, but with Klopp’s side remaining in every competition, they can’t afford a repeat of last year with so many players out due to injury.
