Live: Man hit by van on M6 following multi-vehicle crash – CoventryLive – Coventry Telegraph


A man has been hit by a van in a multi-vehicle collision on the M6 this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Junction 10a at around 6am today (December 3) after a man was hit by a van after getting out of his car following a collision.

He has been taken to hospital with multiple serious injuries.

The incident has caused major delays on the road network, with around seven miles of congestion currently.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered two cars that had been involved in a collision. One of the drivers, a man, had then been involved in a second collision with a van, after he had got out of his car.

“He was treated for multiple serious injuries at the scene before being taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment. The doctor travelled with the patient to help continue treatment en-route to hospital.

“Nobody else was injured in the incident.”
