Jesy Nelson revealed she had been ‘living her best life’ in lockdown.

The Little Mix star announced her split from boyfriend Chris Hughes at the beginning of quarantine, after around 16 months together.

And the Holiday singer, 29, insisted she has been ‘living the dream life’ while isolating at her plush Essex pad.

Appearing on This Morning, she lifted the lid on her time off, telling Dermot O’Leary and Rochelle Humes: ‘It’s so weird! I’m not going to lie to you both, I feel like I’ve lived my best life.

‘All I’ve done is eat and watch Netflix, and then lay in the garden when the sun’s been nice.

She is pure goals.

While she has been making the most of the rare break, Jesy has also been missing bandmates Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, as this is the longest they’ve ever spent apart since they were formed on the X Factor.

‘It’s horrible, we’re like family now, so to not be with them for this long has been horrible,’ she continued.

‘But I have seen them and it was amazing, because they’re like my sisters.

‘In the same aspect, it was quite nice to have our own space and time, because we never get time to just chill and just do nothing.

‘So that was quite nice.’

Jesy’s words come after Chris opened up about their break-up, assuring fans he was ‘finally feeling like himself’ again.

The pair dated for more than a year, before reports in April stated their romance had ‘run its course’.

Speaking to Vicky Pattison on her The Secret To podcast, the Love Island star recalled the time he worked with the I’m A Celebrity queen the day after she split from ex-fiancé John Noble, joking that she was a ‘blubbering mess’.

Comparing his own state, the 27-year-old explained that he could now ‘relate’.

‘You were a blubbering mess. It was kind of like a leaking pipe, wasn’t it? Bless ya,’ he began.

‘But now I can relate to that for the first time ever, because I don’t think I’d ever felt heartbreak or anything.’

Confessing it took him time to move on, Chris added: ‘But then a couple of weeks down the line, you start thinking about it less and less as each day passes, next thing good as gold.

‘It was mad, when people who know you see you, they can tell. People can see it in your face.

‘You can look sad in your face, without actually pulling a sad face, which I discovered… but everyone says, “you’re back to yourself, now,” it’s good.

‘Everyone takes time… you can never force someone to be themselves again.’

This Morning continues on weekdays, at 10am, on ITV.
