Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock made sure Jade Thirlwall’s birthday went with a bang as Jesy Nelson kept her birthday wishes offline.

The Little Mix band-mates paid tribute to her on social media as she celebrated turning 28 on Sunday.

Perrie uploaded a cute collage of the two of them holding hands since they found fame together nine years ago.

She captioned the photo: “Happy birthday to my wife @jadethirlwall”

Leigh-Anne followed suit posted with a photo of Jade backstage in her Strictly costume and the star captioned it: “The biggest of happy birthdays to this absolute beautiful incredible soul.

“My rock always and forever, you already know. Love you so much @jadethirlwall enjoy your day!”

She then shared a photo of the pair backstage at a gig and said: “Booty luv. They not ready!”

Jesy, however, stayed offline weeks after quitting the group and isn’t yet ready to return to social media following her exit.

Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade picked Christmas Day for their first snap without the star as they sent their fans a festive message.

Jesy remained offline as she plots her future

It has been a difficult year for the group as they became a three in December, but they gave their fans a lift with a sweet message as they look forward to 2021 as a trio.

The girls are still coming to terms with Jesy’s decision to step aside – but have vowed to carry on as a three.

The captioned it: “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Mixers. We hope you have the most magical day xx”.

Jesy confirmed she was stepping away to focus on spending time with her loved ones after a tough period.

In a candid statement, she wrote: “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health.

“I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

“There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin the process.”
