‘Funny how dogs just love you no matter how you look or how you’re feeling,’ the 59-year-old said.

Lisa continued: ‘I’ve never really been a dog person, anyone that knows me will tell you… but this little pup is so beautiful… our first fur baby… cute like me.’

She then added that her dog has ‘dark hair and eyes’ like her husband Mark Tabone.

Curry recently broke down on Channel Seven’s The Morning Show while discussing her daughter Jaimi Kenny, who died following an eating disorder last year at age 33.

She wiped back tears as she discussed the loss and addressed the overwhelming support that she’s received from fans over the past year.

At one point, she was unable to speak and her husband Mark had to reach out and comfort her before she was able to compose herself and continue with the interview.

‘It has been really hard and people have been really supportive,’ she said through sobs, before adding that it’s been a ‘very difficult’ time.

‘I think what I have learnt most is that every second person walking along the street is going through the same thing, so it’s really important to be empathetic of people and be kind to people and just know that people are walking around, feeling like this all the time but people don’t know about it.’

When asked how the rest of the family has been handling the loss, Lisa admitted that Jaimi’s dad Grant Kenny had been ‘struggling a lot’ with it all.
