Limmy rejoins TikTok as Scots comedian Paul Black jokes career is 'down the gutter'


Scots comedian Paul Black has joked his TikTok career may be over after Limmy rejoined the site.

The Glasgow funnyman, real name Brian Limond, is back on the video sharing platform after not posting on it since 2019.

Sharing a video announcing his comeback, fellow funnyman Paul Black joked that his ‘career is down the gutter’ as a result.

In the video Limmy can be seen busting some questionable moves and at the end he winks at the camera and blows a kiss.

Limmy’s clip, captioned ” New to TikTok. Am I doing it right? #limmy #over40″ has already racked up over 50,000 likes in less than 19 hours.

And it wasn’t just Paul who was delighted to see him back as fans expressed their excitement over the news in comments.

One wrote: “I cheered, I shouted, I fist pumped the air, I cried, I stood and cheered, it’s ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING you hope it was going to be.”

Another added: “I’ve came back and watched this a few times now. Could possibly be the greatest TikTok ever.”

While one wrote: “I can’t believe we get to see this for free.”

And another added: “This! This is everything!”

The Glaswegian, most well known for his BBC sketch show ‘Limmys Show’ is also very well known for his online twitter wind-ups and live streams.

Last year, Limmy revealed he is quitting TV for good to focus on streaming.

The comedian told fans that he will focus exclusively on streaming via his Twitch channel.

Limmy told his 225,000 Twitch followers: “Honestly, I’ve just said to myself, I’m not doing any more telly stuff.”

Paul Black is hugely popular on TikTok and recently announced he will be doing a brand new show on stage.

Self Care Era will be at Glasgow’s Oran Mor for six shows over three days from January 13 next year.

Taking to Instagram, Paul revealed the exciting news by showcasing a picture of himself in the bath holding a cigarette.

He said: “Self Care Era – my brand spankin’ new show. Retired from Flop Era, new career in Self Care. SIX shows in total, tickets on sale Monday 15th at 5pm* by @proctorkp & @_shakehaus by @carlinmillerphotography *won’t be in bath on stage.”
