Ok, it’s January and we want to get fit. But we don’t want to break the bank on a home gym.
So, Lidl’s brand new range of budget-friendly gym equipment could be just what you’re looking for.
The new items include weights, headphones, resistance bands and an ab trainer – with the cheapest item costing £2.99.
Kettlebells 4kg or 6kg – will set you back £4.99 and the Resistance Band Set is also £4.99.
The Hand-held Massager will set you back £49.99, or opt for the Foam Roller at just £4.99 to relieve muscle stiffness and improve range of motion.
And it isn’t only gym equipment, the fitness range also includes fitness clothes. Choose from Ladies’ Sports Hoodies from £7.99 and Leggings for £6.99, and for men there are the Softshell Running Trousers £7.99 and Trainers for £9.99.
But how does this range compare to the budget supermarket’s closets rival, Aldi, who launched their own range of fitness gear last week?
Aldi’s range is offering a yoga mat or some resistance bands, 1kg or 2kg dumbbells, push-up bars, or an ab wheel for £4.99.
The 2kg or 5kg dumbbells will set you back £8.99, or for £9.99 you can buy TRX-style sling trainers to work on your bodyweight fitness.
Aldi is also offering more high-end expensive pieces, like the rowing machine for £199.99, or a power rack with integrated lat pull down and rowing pull and adjustable spotter, dip bar and j hook for £279.99.
But customers at Lidl can elevate their home workouts with Skullcandy True Wireless Headphones for £29.99, which feature 10-hour battery life.
Lidl’s home gym range and accessories will be avialble in store from 7th January while stocks last.
