Liam Payne wants to copy Harry Styles and become actor with role on AHS

Liam Payne has declared he wants to follow in Harry Styles footsteps and make the leap from music to acting.

The 27-year-old chart topping star was waxing lyrical as he discussed plans for the future while sharing his New Year’s resolutions with fans.

And it seems Liam wants to take a leaf out 26-year-old Harry’s book by transitioning from the charts to the box office – or, at the very least, the small screen.

Following the end of One Direction – who split and went on hiatus in 2016 – Harry gained recognition for his until-then hidden acting abilities, and it seems Liam now wants a slice of that dramatic pie.

Liam Payne dreams of starring in American Horror Story

Opening up to fans on Instagram Stories, Liam declared: “I wanna be in American Horror Story if they make another series.

“I wanna get killed off in American Horror Story – that’s my New Year’s resolution.

“I wanna be something evil.

“So let’s put that out in the world – let the world do its thing and come back in.”

Former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles has enjoyed success as an actor as well as a singer

Choosing American Horror Story might not be a bad idea for the pop star – as a string of fellow musicians have held roles on the US horror TV series created by writer Ryan Murphy and Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband Brad Falchuk.

Pop superstar Lady Gaga and music legend Stevie Nicks have both held roles on various seasons of the anthology series.

While a 10th series is confirmed, production has been thrown into chaos due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with the show missing it’s planned Autumn 2020 air date.

Harry won praise for his role in the 2017 film Dunkirk

Three further seasons have been ordered by FX who air the show in the USA.

Liam’s former 1D bandmate Harry has won praise for his own acting – wowing critics in the Christopher Nolan directed World War II drama Dunkirk.

The singer is currently filming a psychological drama called Don’t Worry Darling, directed by Olivia Wilde and co-starring Chris Pine, Florence Pugh and Gemma Chan.
