Sajid Javid has been appointed Health Secretary after shamed Matt Hancock stood down – but is the ex-chancellor the right man for the job?

Last week we asked you if Matt Hancock should step down as Health Secretary after his Covid rule-breaking kiss with Gina Coladangelo, and 92% said he should. 93% said they thought it had damaged his reputation.

And on Saturday, it was announced he had done just that. In a letter to the Prime Minister, he said the government “owe it to people who have sacrificed so much in this pandemic to be honest when we have let them down”.
