Hollywood stars including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Matt Damon are expected to show face at the climate change conference.
And Billy Eilish also said earlier this week in a recorded message: “This year our leaders are deciding the global actions required on the environment climate emergency in a critical decade for our planet.
“We must stand together and speak up to save our planet, not just for us, but for our future generations, and we need urgent, urgent action now and to work together as one.”
Now Leo, who spoke about saving the environment in Edinburgh for the Scottish Business Awards in 2016, has sent a message of hope to attendees.
He wrote on his Twitter account “The climate crisis is here. #COP26 must be a turning point to protect people and the planet.
Scots professional wrestler Joe Coffey couldn’t resist replying back to Leo saying: “Get you at The Savoy, Sauchiehall Street bruv.”
Another joker added:” Bring yer Snapfax.”
Others had a mixed response to Lei’s intervention with one person suggesting: “Ok stop flying on your private plane.”
Another added: “Thank you for taking action and raising awareness on this matter! Cheers to a better world!”
