Kalvin Phillips could miss the next two months of action with Leeds United fearing the worst after the midfielder injured his hamstring against Brentford.

The England international hobbled off in the 2-2 draw against the Bees ten minutes before full-time and was seen clutching the back of his leg.

Marcelo Bielsa refused to give a prognosis after the game but the Argentine appeared downbeat about Phillips’ injury and the Mail claim his worst fears have been realised.

Biesla’s side have collected just 16 points from an available 45, with the side failing to replicate their form from last term.

Patrick Bamford is also a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Chelsea after suffering a hamstring injury of his own.

The striker was making his first appearance in three months against the Bees but he sustained an injury late on when he scored a dramatic equaliser.
