Lanzini apologises for "bad mistake" after breaking Covid rules over Christmas

Manuel Lanzini has apologised for making a “bad mistake” after breaking strict Covid rules over the Christmas period.

Lanzini was pictured alongside Tottenham stars Giovani Lo Celso, Erik Lamela and Sergio Reguilon with their families on Christmas Day.

The photo was posted to Instagram and was taken in what is believed to be Lo Celso’s house.

A total of 11 other adults, two children, and a baby were also pictured, despite Tier 4 guidelines prohibiting different households from meeting indoors.

Lanzini said on Twitter: “I want to apologise for a bad mistake I made over Christmas and I take full responsibility for my actions. I know people have made difficult sacrifices to stay safe and I should be setting a better example.”
