Kim Kardashian sparks fierce debate over photoshoot for North's pet lizard

Kim Kardashian has sparked a debate among fans after she posted a series of controversial pictures of North West’s pet lizard.

Earlier this year, Kim said she bought her daughter North, seven, the lizard after she looked after one for a friend.

Kim introduced the pet to her 215 million followers on Instagram, where she revealed: “Meet the newest member of our family…Speed. I really wasn’t planning on liking Speed the way I do but she grew on me!

“Speed was really my BFF Allison’s and we babysat for a week and she never left and it’s been months!

“Speed got a makeover with custom Skims Cozy and even the Lil Uzi jewel (Speed actually got the jewel a few months back; North always knows what’s up!).

“North and her bearded dragon go everywhere together it’s kinda cute!”

But her latest post of the reptile left a bad taste in some fans’ mouths.

The series of snaps, which was captioned: “Photoshoot Fresh w Speed,” saw the lizard dressed up in a number of outfits, including a pair of mini sunglasses, a baseball cap and a feather boa.

The post quickly racked up more than 3.5 million likes and was flooded with hundreds of thousands of comments.

Whilst some people thought it was hilarious, a few people were less than impressed.

One person said: “This might be the greatest post you’ve ever done.”

Another said: “Wtf.”

“This is the content we deserve,” said a third.

Whilst someone else put: “Ridiculous. It’s an animal, a pet…. Not an object you can dress up.”

A few people also pointed out that Speed was in dire need of a pedicure.
