An anxious Katie Price asked boyfriend Kris Boyson for his expert help after being told son Harvey could die from diabetes after he reached 22 stone.
The TV star shared her worries for her eldest child ahead of her new series of My Crazy Life.
Katie is desperate for 16-year-old Harvey – who suffers from rare genetic condition Prada-Willi Syndrome, blindness and autism – to lose weight and help improve his health.
“He weighs over 22 stone now. If you look at all of my kids we all eat the same, we’re all the same, former glamour model Katie said, according to The Sun .
“But he’s got medical problems. And if he doesn’t sort it out he will die, we’ve been told, because of his heart.”
The mum-of-five enlisted the help of personal trainer and weight loss specialist Kris to help with Harvey’s health.
“That’s how I got in touch with Kris because he’s a weight loss specialist, not just a personal trainer,” she added.
“And obviously somebody who is going to give my son attention like that when nobody’s ever given him that. Seeing the smile on his face – course it’s attractive.
Taking a swipe at ex Kieran, Katie continued: “He’s got the banter. Kieran was a personal trainer before and not once did he try and train Harvey.”
Last month Kris was pictured training Harvey in the garden at Katie’s Sussex home.
Katie said at the time: “Harvey can do this- he has proven all the doctor’s wrong so far and will carry on doing so.
“Kris is a life saver and that’s ultimately how we met in the first instance.
“My children are my priority – Harvey’s on going medical problems are never ending – Kris has come up with a specifically designed program that can help my Harvey and other children, adults like him to live longer healthier lives.'”
Katie and Kris went public with their relationship in May, just weeks after the ex glamour model split with third husband Kieran Hayler.
Talking about their split and the new series of her show, Katie admitted fans will see her hit rock bottom.
She said: “You’ll probably see in the show I am quite reserved.
“You can probably see it in my eyes that I’m sad – I was sad. Course I was.
“Because I was going through a break-up and then my mum and then all these other issues but I’ve come through it.
“And that’s what’s good because now people can see… you know, once you hit rock bottom where is there to go. You’re not going to go to the centre of the Earth. You’ve got to go up.”
