And the former Doctor Who actress who is also known for her roles in Avengers, X Men and Jumanji proved it was a case of life imitating art as she stars in a film about quarantine – just days after finishing her own quarantine spell after returning from Australia.
Inverness born Karen who is currently in London admitted her long hour car journey was a bit boring on the way to the set of The Bubble.
She revealed: “I might be a little bit late to the party but Kylie Minogue’s new album Disco is really really good.
“I don’t mind a bit of Kylie I wouldn’t call myself a fan, a big fan, but this album has really got my attention.”
“There’s quite a good collection of tracks like the one that goes ‘It’s the Weekend’ (Monday Blues) and ‘Got that perfect body
But she ain’t got the moves’ (Real Groove) and various others, so thats what I’m listening to at the moment on my car journeys to and from work which are a full hour there and a full hour back. It’s all about Kylie.”
Karen’s film The Bubble follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film.
The movie couldn’t be more timely as Covid 19 has stalled so many productions around the world. Karen herself just finished ten days isolating in a hotel room after she travelled down under to film Thor Love and Thunder and returned to Heathrow,
Judd and Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal and Peter Serafinowicz are also in the film.
Karen said she was ‘beyond excited’ to be involved in the film.
