Liverpool’s transfer audition
There could be a lot of arrivals at Liverpool in the January transfer window with the club expected to be busy.
The Reds spent just £34million on defender Ibrahima Konate over the summer but could strengthen significantly in the new year as Sadio Mane and Mo Salah head off to the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Reds have now been linked with Porto player Luis Diaz who has been in scintillating form in Portugal this season.
And the club will get the chance to watch the player first-hand when they face Porto in the penultimate round of Champions League fixtures on Wednesday night as the player gets the chance of a rare audition in front of the Anfield crowd.
Thiago on Barca rumours
Thiago has responded to rumours linking him with a return to Barcelona.
After the Spanish international’s former Barca team-mate Xavi returned to the club manager, it has been reported he is keen to bring in the Liverpool midfielder as one of his first signings.
Reports in recent months have suggested the move could well be on following the 30-year-old’s struggle to nail down a regular starting berth in Jurgen Klopp’s first XI this term.
And the midfielder has now declared where his future lies.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed just how much thought he has put into the ongoing turmoil at Manchester United.
The result followed on from embarrassing displays against rivals Man City and Liverpool before the international break.
And Klopp was asked for his thoughts on the sacking in his Tuesday press conference ahead of Liverpool ‘s Champions League clash with Porto, and whether he feels there will be a lot of pressure on the next boss.
