Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed the six teams he likes to keep an eye on – including Champions League opponents Barcelona and two Premier League rivals.
The Reds will take on Barca in the last four of European football’s premier competition, with the first leg taking place at the Nou Camp on Wednesday.
And the German says City are another one of the sides he enjoys watching play, along with a couple of German sides he used to manage.
“Whenever I have time I like to watch Dortmund because I’m still connected with them,” Klopp told DAZN Germany .
“[Werder] Bremen I like to watch as well, but also Mainz.
“With them I’m still connected too. I also think it’s impressive the way they play under Sandro Schwarz.”
Klopp added that he’s looking forward to the test of facing Barca.
“I have played against Real Madrid many times, but never in Barcelona.,” he contnued.
“You want to see what is possible. The cool thing about Barcelona is you’re never a favourite.
“To deal with the challenge, perhaps to do things differently to others, that is appealing, even if I have not made any concrete plans yet.”
