Julia Roberts celebrated her 53rd birthday by urging her followers to vote in the US elections.

The Pretty Woman actress shared a snap of herself wearing an ‘I’m a voter’ t-shirt before the presidential election.

‘I AM a Voter! Make sure you are too!♥️ she wrote along with the hashtag ‘We are in this together.’

A day before the star posted the snap, she shared a quote which said: ‘I’m just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to vote.’

The quote is a play on her popular line to Hugh Grant’s character in the 1999 film Notting Hill.

The A-list star’s caption read: ‘VOTE 1 week to go!!’

Her hashtags read: ‘#weareinthistogether #earlyvoting #whenweallvote #wearamask #letsdothis’.

The likes of Harry Styles, Brad Pitt, Cher, will.i.am and Justin Timberlake have also been reminding fans to register to vote before the big day on November 3.

Julia might have used Notting Hill quotes to get to us, but Hugh Grant recently brought us back to reality with his take on what would happen in the movie’s non-existent sequel.

Her co-star, 60, has decreed that those happy endings are all a ‘terrible lie’.

The actor has said he would like to do a sequel to Notting Hill to show that his character William and Julia’s character Anna’s marriage would hit the skids, had the cameras kept rolling.

In a Q&A for HBO to promote his new series The Undoing, Hugh was asked if he would ever star in a rom-com again.

The Four Weddings And A Funeral star said: ‘I would like to do a sequel to one of my own romantic comedies that shows what happened after those films ended.

‘Really, to prove the terrible lie that they all were, that it was a happy ending.’
