At one point, Meghan remarked the election should not have been as ‘close’ as it ended up being.
‘Biden won by eight million votes, Meghan, that’s not close!’ Joy said. ‘That’s a lot of people.’
‘But Joy, if you are so comfortable, then why is everyone so hysterical about what’s happening in Georgia?’ Meghan pointed out.
Eventually, Whoopi stepped in and cut to commercial break.

‘We’ll be right back,’ Whoopi cut in. ‘I’m not playing with that.’
Meghan welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Liberty, with her husband Ben Domenech in September 2020.
The couple married in 2017 after a four-month long engagement.
Meghan reflected on the joys of motherhood in a heartfelt post she shared to Instagram shortly after giving birth, and included a photo of a glimmering gold ‘Mama’ necklace.
‘Motherhood is euphoria. All of the cliches have come true and exceeded well beyond my wildest expectations ~ it is hands down the best thing I have ever done in my entire life and I am completely in awe of our daughter. Having Liberty is like observing my entire heart live and exist outside of my body. She is a little wildcat ~ beautiful, strong, alert, already so full life and spirit… I only wish I had done this sooner.’
She also said the birth of her daughter helped heal the hole in her heart left by the death of her father, Senator John McCain.
‘This is the first time since my Dad passed that the part of my heart that broke off and left with him no longer feels missing,’ she wrote.
