Johnny Depp has been seen looking happier than ever as he rocked up to a premiere, after his lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard was pushed back.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star grinned away as he attended the Crock of Gold: A few Rounds with Shane McGowan premiere on Friday at the Zurich Film Festival, grinning as he hopped out of a car.

Johnny, 57, pulled a bandana over his face as a face covering, before appearing onstage at the event.

He clearly made the most of it, snapping photos with fans and posing away on the red carpet.

The actor’s appearance comes after his lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber has been pushed back.

The $50million (£39million) defamation lawsuit he brought against ex Amber Heard was delayed further.

Johnny had asked for the date to be moved back due to his filming commitments, but it was the coronavirus pandemic that influenced the final decision on the date.

The lawsuit is based on Johnny’s claims that an op-ed Amber wrote in the Washington Post in December 2018 about domestic violence cost him a role in Disney’s reboot of Pirates of the Caribbean, though he was not mentioned in it by name.

Depp, 57, has repeatedly denied allegations of physical abuse, and alleges Heard was abusive in their marriage – claims which she denies.

Amber Heard is also reportedly counter-suing Johnny Depp for $100 million (£74m), claiming that her ex-husband used trolls and fake social media accounts in a ‘smear campaign’ to ruin her life.

The Aquaman star is suing Depp for double the amount he is suing her for in a Virginia defamation trial, and has filed documents seeking to get his ‘frivolous lawsuit’ thrown out.

In documents filed in August Heard, 34, alleged that this lawsuit continues Depp’s ‘abuse and harassment’ of her, and repeated allegations that she was subjected to ‘rampant physical abuse’.
