Frightened Jason Manford has revealed his seven-year-old son was bitten by a horse in a terrifying ordeal last week.
The funnyman, 39, took his two boys to meet the animals after stopping during a family bike ride.
But things turned scary when one of the horses bit the boy on the chest after it suddenly flipped.
Jason said the incident left him shaken but the youngster was fine a few hours later – even though he was left with a huge bruise on his chest.
The comedian’s two-year-old son was also hurt in the chaos when he fell off his bike as Jason went to the aid of the seven-year-old.
Jason was speaking on his Absolute Radio show on Sunday morning about the harrowing day.
“The horses always come over when we stop – they always say hello,” he begun.
“There was a new horse and he had mad eyes! I should have spotted that, looking back.
“It was a mad 60 seconds. I had my little boy, the two-year-old, on the seat of my bike.
“This horse out of nowhere lurches forward and bites my other son on the chest.
“The bruise is the worst you have seen. That moment I left to save him and my bike fell over – and the other boy fell to the ground!
“It was one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me.”
The comedian said the incident left him stunned – but was typically able to laugh about it a few days on.
Jason joked: “He’s in a stable condition now! He’s fine, when we got home he was sending picture to his mates.
“I asked him ‘why the long face’ later but he didn’t get it, which is a shame.”
The star is usually very private about his family but did share pictures of his kids online on Father’s Day.
Dad-of-six Jason has four children with his first wife Catherine, who he split from eight years ago.
He has been married to second wife Lucy Dyke since 2017, and the couple share two children together.
