Jamie O’Hara has told Arsenal fans to stop being ‘ridiculous’ and acting like they have ‘won Europe’ following their 3-1 victory over north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

First half goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre Emerick Aubmayeng and Bukayo Saka were enough for the Gunners to overcome a disappointing Spurs team, who managed a late consolation goal through South Korean star Son Heung-Min.

Arsenal fans were clearly delighted with the victory over their rivals, with many waiting inside the stadium during the post-match interviews to praise their players and manager Mikel Arteta.

But O’Hara believes they need to calm down, and thinks winning against Spurs is no longer a big achievement.

‘You’ve got nine points, you’ve beaten a bang average Spurs team with a bang average manager and you are going on as if you’ve won the title. It’s embarrassing,’ he told TalkSPORT.

‘You’ve had the biggest fall from grace out of anyone in the Premier League, you used to compete with Man United every week for the title. Now you’re beating a rubbish Spurs team and giving it like you’ve won Europe.

‘Get a grip of yourself Arsenal fans, it’s ridiculous. You used to have Emmanuel Petit, Viera, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, you used to batter teams at the top of the table.

‘You’ve had the biggest fall from grace in England ever.’

Arsenal, who have now won their last three Premier League games, will be looking to continue their fine form when they travel to the south coast to take on high-flying Brighton next Saturday.
