Fantasy Football managers everywhere are sweating on the fitness of Premier League players this weekend, as are their actual managers with some big games coming up.

It is a packed few days of Premier League action with matches on every day from Saturday to Thursday, one day off before it all starts again the following Saturday.

There will be some big players missing out, though, including Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, who is not available for their clash with Leeds United on Saturday.

Jack Grealish

The England international sits out Saturday’s game, with manager Dean Smith confirming he is still feeling pain in his leg.

‘He won’t be ready for tomorrow,’ said Smith.

‘He had some discomfort, so he went to see the doctor and they decided that he needed a period of rest. I believe that he’s very close to being pain-free.’

James Maddison

The Leicester and England man is struggling with a hip injury that he suffered last season and manager Brendan Rodgers could not confirm as and when he will be fit.

‘We’ve got no timeline on it,’ Rodgers said on Thursday ahead of the Foxes playing Arsenal on Sunday.

‘It’s going to be one of those where he doesn’t need anything surgically, it’s just going to be about once the pain dies down.

‘I can’t put a timeline on it. It’s going to be about how he feels. We’re just going to have to assess that each day.’

Jordan Henderson

The Liverpool captain has had to have surgery on a groin problem and will be out for at least five weeks.

A club statement read: ‘Henderson has successfully had a corrective procedure carried out on the adductor injury. He will begin a rehabilitation programme immediately.

‘No specific timescale is being placed upon his return; however, the 30-year-old is ruled out initially until after the March international break.’

Edinson Cavani

The Manchester United forward is struggling with a muscle injury and is a doubt for the Red Devils’ trip to Chelsea on Sunday, as are Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek, while Paul Pogba has been ruled out.

‘Scott, Donny and Edinson – we hope that they can be available for the weekend, but I’m not sure. Paul is still out for a few weeks unfortunately,’ said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Thursday.
