James Corden has revealed that he’s brilliantly lost “just over 35lbs” (2.5 stone) – but he confessed that he “absolutely hates” doing exercise.
The Gavin & Stacey star, 42, said that he’d much prefer to lie down than go to a gym during his time off work.
The presenter appeared on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday and admitted he was surprised when the host thought he looked slimmer.
He went on to reveal his impressive weight loss and when the host asked how he was feeling, the actor said: “I feel like I’m getting better. I’m trying, but I feel like there’s still a way to go.. I’ve lost just over 35lbs.”
The Late Late Show host went on to confess his hatred of working out.
He continued: “I suck at it. I’m so bad at it. It’s terrible. There are so few hours in the day that are just my own, do you know what I mean?
“I’ve got three young kids. We have the show and all these things. I feel like, ‘Hang on a minute. I’ve got an hour here where I’m on my own, and I’m doing something that I absolutely hate’. I should just be laying down.”
And he also shared his thoughts on personal trainers.
“I don’t trust them. I don’t think they want me to lose weight quickly,” he quipped.
He jokingly said that he must have went through around 75 personal trainers and now feels that they aren’t interested in rapid results because they get paid by the hour.
Despite his dramatic weight loss, James admits he hasn’t yet gone on a huge spending spree for a new wardrobe.
“I’ve not bought masses of clothes because I’m hopeful that there’s still a way to go,” he said.
“For some time now, I’ve had three separate wardrobes … You’re an Embarrassment, You’ve Gotta Do Better, and Yeah Baby, You’re Really Doing This.”
He joyfully revealed that the “embarrassment” section hasn’t been used for a while.
In 2017 James lost an impressive six stone as he went in such of Hollywood success.
However, he admitted that his Achilles heel will always be bread. e can’t stop eating is bread.
James and the host went on to discuss the actor’s new role in the movie Peter Rabbit 2.
When asked whether his kids were in awe of their dad’s part in the movie he laughed, admitting they “couldn’t care less”.
The interview comes after James was slammed for his part in the Friends reunion show.
Many fans weren’t impressed at his involvement and took to social media to share their displeasure.
But James and the Friends gang were back together recently as the cast took part in his famous Carpool Karaoke sketch for The Late Late Show.
