Former Towie star James Argent was pictured flashing a huge smile as he showed off his four stone weight loss in a stylist summer outfit at Dan Osborne’s 30th birthday party this weekend
James Argent was pictured beaming with joy as he showed off his five and a half stone weight loss at pal Dan Osborne’s 30th birthday party this weekend.
The former Towie star, 33, headed to his mate’s house in Essex on Saturday where Dan’s wife Jacqueline Joss had organised a surprise party to mark his milestone.
Arg turned out in white jeans and a blue shirt, and looked happy and healthy as he posed for pictures with his friends.
He shared a video showing his former Towie co-star Dan arriving at the bash wearing a blind fold, captioning it: “He’s finally arrived. Happy birthday Dan Osborne.”
The clip showed Dan being led into the garden by a friend, while Jac and the kids and the party guests waited to surprise him.
They all cheered as he took off the blindfold to see a gathering of friends and family who’d turned up to celebrate his birthday.
Dan turns 30 on Sunday, but the party was held on Saturday night.
Another picture showed Arg sitting on a garden sofa with his arm around Dan, and he captioned it: “Chilling with the birthday boy.”
Arg also posed for a picture with Dan’s wife Jac. They snapped a selfie together and Arg admitted he had been looking forward to catching up with his pals.
He captioned the snap: “So lovely to catch up and see Jacqueline Jossa.”
Jac had erected a marquee in the garden of the couple’s home, which was lit up by a huge sign which read “Dan 30”.
Guests were seen partying in the tent and garden, with many gathering around the Love Island-style fire pit the couple recently had installed.
Arg has been on a health kick this year after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery.
He had been warned he needed to lose weight urgently after topping the scales at 27 stone.
During an appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch, Arg explained: “It felt horrible, I was always extremely uncomfortable, I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror.

“It felt depressing and it just wasn’t me. Now I’m starting to feel like myself again and I’m excited about what the future is going to bring.
“It was scary being 27 stone… It was serious, doctors were telling me how dangerous it was… I knew it was something I had to address pretty quickly.”
He recently revealed he’s now lost 5.5 stone and is back eating solid food again.
