Jackie Weaver hosting 'Comedians' Council' night a year on from viral video



Viral sensation Jackie Weaver is celebrating her twelve month anniversary since her hilarious video hit the headlines by hosting her first comedy night.

Jackie, who we exclusively revealed comes from Motherwell, became an overnight star after the video of her council parish meeting went viral in February of last year.

The Handforth Parish Councillor Jackie who does have ‘the authority’ and compared herself to Britney Spears during the fiery meeting, also underwent a make up transformation today for telly appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch.

She recently wrote a book – and is now hosting the new live comedy show – “The Comedians’ Council” on February 6 at the famed Bedford pub down south.

UK comics, including Isy Suttie, Paul Sinha, Richard Herring, will join Jackie for a hilarious one-of-a-kind council meetingin front of a live audience, debating “very important” issues.

The comedian-councillors will tackle tough audience questions, such as – “is wearing socks and sandals a criminal offence?” or “can you really trust people who prefer baths to showers?”.

The panel will engage in friendly debate before voting each issue and everyone will drink customised cocktails based on the characters from the infamous Handforth Parish Council meeting, include “Aled’s Mai Tai Pad” and a delicious Jacquiri.

Fans can’t wait to get their latest helping of the Scots powerhouse and many were impressed by her glam look today on the telly show.

One said: “You have the phwarrthority.”

Another added: “Looking Lovely, started reading your new novel today on Tube and was laughing at the Britney Spears, I had weird looks lol.”

And someone else wrote: “It is impossible for a man to comment on this photo without putting his foot in it. OK then – just as lovely. Phew, think I got away with it.”
