Is Demi Lovato a Republican or Democrat?

Demi Lovato, 28, has publicly backed the Democratic party according to her social media posts.

The singer left rehab back in November of 2018 and immediately went to the polls to cast her ballot for the midterm elections.

She shared a photo and wrote on Instagram: “I am so grateful to be home in time to vote! “One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard…now go out and #VOTE!!!!”

Similarly, during the 2020 elections she shared photos of herself at the polling booth encouraging fans to go out and do their civic duty.

When President-elect Joe Biden won the election she took to Twitter to congratulate him on the win, writing: “Our 46th president, @joebiden. I’ve been waiting to post this photo because I knew deep down you would be our next President. Today we celebrate the millions of Americans who overcame barriers to the ballot box, mobilized their communities & voted in record breaking numbers.

Adding: “This was OUR election and WE WON TOGETHER. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but today we will celebrate each other.”

Lovato also shared photos of her meeting Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and one of her crying after the election results rolled in.

Lovato has been vocal about President Trump and his administration since he took office in 2016.

She performed her song Commander-in-Chief at the Billboard Music Awards in October which lyrically criticized Trump, claiming that she “did not care” if it ruined her career.

The singer addressed her fans on social media, writing: “I literally don’t care if this ruins my career. This isn’t about that. My career isn’t about that. I made a piece of art that stands for something I believe in. And I’m putting it out even at the risk of losing fans.

In the wake of the deadly Capitol riot that occurred on January 6, Lovato addressed the insurrection on Instagram and urged Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
