I’M A Celebrity’s Victoria Derbyshire was in secret conversation with camp mate Jordan North PRIOR to appearing on the show, she has revealed.
Victoria, 52, has told how she and the Radio 1 star had a text exchange while both in hiding in Wales before the participant lineup was confirmed.
Sharing a screen shot of their chat, Victoria revealed that she told Jordan it was “gonna be the biggest laugh EVER”.
With the show now over, Victoria wrote on Instagram last night: “Ha just remembered this – @jordannorth1 and me in quarentine in separate places in Wales skirting around the fac that we were both doing @imacelebrity.”
An accompanying screen shot showed a message to Jordan from Victoria that read: “Oh my god are u doing I’m a celeb?!?!?!?!!!”
Attempting to remain coy, Victoria wrote back: “Can’t confirm for deny – same for you?!?!”
Jordan told his former BBC colleague: “Haha yep.”
The conversation continued, with Victoria quipping: “I bet we’re even near each other RIGHT NOW!!! It’s gonna be the biggest laugh EVER.”
Jordan wrote back: “100%.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this series’ I’m A Celebrity contestants were all put into self-isolation for two weeks before appearing on the show.
Some stayed in luxury cottages while others isolated in posh hotels close to the set, which was this year filmed at Gwrych Castle in north Wales.
As always, ITV bosses attempted to keep the lineup under-wraps and the stars were all asked to hand their mobile phones shortly before entering the castle.
