I rent a tiny flat for £700 a month – I don’t have a stove and can’t even fit a wardrobe in it

A TIKTOKKER has given a tour of his tiny New York apartment the size of a hallway that he rents for £700 a month – leaving his followers stunned.

Comedian and actor, Ron Ervin, says that he doesn’t have a stove and nor can he even fit a wardrobe into the 100 sq ft space.

Despite skimping on a few basics, he does manage to squeeze in a large computer monitor perched on a chest of drawers, a podcast microphone and even a greenscreen which he has pinned behind him – essentials for his TikTok comedy streaming.

Ervin shared his video in response to another viral video shared by TikToker Alex Webber, who claimed to have the smallest apartment in New York.

He was quick to prove Webber wrong showing in that he couldn’t even fit a queen size mattress in his apartment.

Ervin said: “People have asked me for an actual apartment tour.

“Let’s get this out the way once and for all, I don’t have a stove.”

“This guy has a queen-size mattress in his apartment. If I brought a queen-sized mattress into my New York apartment, it would crush me to death.”

He begins by showing his followers his tiny sink area and what he says people mistake for a stove but which is in fact a is a hot plate which doesn’t work.

He explains that he installed his own plug-in hot plate for $10 as well as a toastie maker which he says he found in the communal area outside his flat.

He shows off his substitute for a wardrobe which is just a rail with hangers and folded clothes underneath.

Squeezed in next to it, he has a very slim single bed which he says is “kind of a tight squeeze for me but I fit.”

On the plus side though, through a window he shows his followers an unexpected outdoor space which looks bigger than the size or his room complete with a table and a place to sit.

“This is our cool little back yard area. That’s actually great, there’s tables, there chair, there’s lights, that’s really fun to hang out with.”

Back in the UK, one flat sparked outrage after it is dubbed “smaller than a jail cell” with the bed inches from the kitchen sink.

But for considerably cheaper price that Ron Ervin’s at £390 a month, you’ll have the privilege of sharing your bathroom with other sharers in the house.

Photos from the “bedsit situated within a large Victorian house” show the sparsely decorated room with the bed filling a narrow corridor and dated kitchen units alongside.

The tiny room has a small plug-in hob, a sink with cabinets and a microwave and fridge fitted underneath.

Despite his space issues, he manages to squeeze in a large monitor, a keyboard and a light
