Hyper Scape officially launching for PC and consoles in August

Ubisoft’s battle royale, Hyper Scape, will be leaving beta shortly, with its official release on PC and consoles coming about a week afterwards.

Ubisoft may have dropped the beta for its own take on the battle royale genre, Hyper Scape, almost out of nowhere but it hasn’t taken long for it to become a Twitch hit.

The beta is only limited to PCs though, and players only have a few days left to enjoy it as it will be closing this weekend on 2 August.

However, you’ll only need to wait just over a week for the game to properly launch, with Ubisoft announcing that it will become publicly available on 11 August.

Not only that, but it will also release on consoles, namely the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so those unable to check out the beta can finally see what they’ve been missing.

The game’s launch will see the beginning of Season 1, which Ubisoft has already confirmed will introduce a new weapon and a new hack, as well as limited time game modes and a battle pass.

These kinds of details are hardly surprising and common features in other battle royale games. The limited modes suggest that there will be a frequent rotation of what’s available, similar to how Call Of Duty: Warzone works.

However, Warzone’s constant shifting of modes has been a subject of criticism in the past so, depending on how Ubisoft handles it, Hyper Scape could be met with similar complaints.

Hyper Scape will release on 11 August for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
