Hughie Fury pulls out of Pavel Sour fight at 11th hour due to virus

Hughie Fury has been forced to pull out of his fight with Pavel Sour in Monaco.

Fury was set to return to action on Saturday night for his first bout since losing to Alexander Povetkin in August in a WBA title bout.

The Brit, cousin of fellow heavyweight Tyson, was set to feature on the bill alongside welterweights Radzhab Butaev and Alexander Besputin.

But promoters Matchroom have confirmed the fight is off.

Matchroom posted: “Due to a virus @hughiefury has unfortunately had to pull out of his fight tonight in Monaco.”

Joe Cordina is set to be in action on the card in Monte Carlo as he faces off against Enrico Tinoco.

The fight between Fury and Sour could be rescheduled for spring next year.
