You’ll be able to eat your meal outside if you want to.

McDonald’s reopened 443 branches for outdoor dining today after Boris Johnson gave the green light for pubs and restaurants to welcome customers back – but only if they’re seated outside.

From May 17, businesses will then be able to welcome punters inside for the first time in months, so you can sit inside at Maccies then.

There’ll be limited seating outdoors at some McDonald’s branches to make sure customers can socially distance.

Customers keen to eat outdoors are being encouraged to order via the McDonald’s app to “minimise congestion” inside restaurants.

Numbers have been added to all of its tables, which you’ll then need to add to your order after you select the “eat in” option on the app.

Staff will then bring your food to the table.
