Holly Willoughby worries This Morning fans after missing second day in a row

Viewers were left confused when This Morning host Holly Willoughby missed a second day on the show in a row.

The star, 39, first caused concern with her absence yesterday, as she had been scheduled to return with co-host Phillip Schofield following their Christmas break.

However, the former model was replaced by Rochelle Humes, with Phil explaining that his usual co-host was spending extra time with family, as reports the Mirror.

Fans were baffled again today as the mum-of-three was missing again, with one tweeting: “Where’s Holly again?”

Joking about her not appearing, Phil said: “Holly’s not here, she’s wrapping up her filming commitments with the Masked Singer – Badger, who’d have thought?”

Later, he gave fans more of an insight as to what Holly was up to as he gave her a shout-out.

“We want to say hello to holly who is Badger,” he joked, before adding: “She’s dealing with childcare issues at the moment but she will be back tomorrow.”

Holly last posted on her Instagram account on Christmas Day ahead of This Morning’s pre-recorded festive special.

She wrote: “Merry Christmas you beautiful lot… and yes you may be waking up today with a day in front of you that you don’t recognise as your traditional Christmas… I just wanted to say that I’m thinking of you and sending you so much love and light… breath deep and look up …

“Wishing you a happy and healthy Christmas…. and remember as we have been all year @thismorning is on today. It’s our first ever Christmas Day show… see you at 10am on @itv.”

This comes after the presenter missed several days in November last year, sparking concern from fans.

She was replaced by Alison Hammond and then Davina McCall, with her absence explained as “having a day off”.

Worried fans took to Twitter to comment, with fans speculating that there was “something wrong”.

One tweeted: “Holly’s having a day off? She has Friday, Saturday, Sunday off every week and every school holiday. Why not just say somethings going on she’s got personal reasons?? What other reason would she be off 2 days on the bounce? Hope she’s ok?! #ThisMorning.”

Another commented: “Hope Holly’s okay though #ThisMorning.”

*This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
