‘He’s not right’ – Jadon Sancho having doubts over his role at Manchester United, claims Paul Parker

Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has suggested Jadon Sancho may already be having doubts over his role at Old Trafford.

United ended a near-two year long pursuit of Sancho last summer, finally bringing the England international to Old Trafford in a deal worth £73million.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has struggle to replicate the form that saw him establish himself as one of Europe’s best young talents in Germany, however.

With just two goals and zero assists in 23 appearances this season, Sancho has struggled for form and was left out of the starting XI during Saturday’s Premier League clash at Aston Villa.

The winger came off the bench with 12 minutes of the contest remaining for what was a disappointing cameo, with United throwing away their two-goal lead to draw the game.

Assessing Sancho’s contribution that evening, Parker accused Sancho of not following the game going on in front of him, adding he will be one of a clutch of players who are uncertain over their futures with the club.

Parker told Talk of the Devils: ‘Sancho came on late [against Villa].

‘Sancho at that moment in time, I don’t know what he is doing. He wasn’t watching the game.

‘I don’t know if out of camera he had an iPad with Netflix on watching that because he certainly wasn’t watching the game.

‘He’s not right. There are a lot of players who are not there at the moment, they don’t know where they are going to be.

‘They really don’t know. Sancho for £70m, is he going to be thinking, am I here next season? What is going to happen?’
