If you’re even the slightest bit into fight sports or are partial to a scroll on social media, then you’ve probably heard of Hasbulla Magomedov.
In the fighting world today, two events seem to need to happen before a fighter is welcomed into stratospheric levels of fame. They either get talked about by Joe Rogan or by other famous figures in the blood sport circuit.
Hasbulla ticked both those milestones off the list in 2021, with the likes of Logan Paul and Rafael Fiziev calling for the social media star to take them on.
From rumoured fights to how he got famous, here’s everything you need to know about Hasbulla Magomedov.
How old is Hasbulla Magomedov and how did he get famous?
Hasbulla Magomedov made his name as a blogger and built up more than two million followers on Instagram since November 2020.
In 2021, he went viral on TikTok by building up a platform focused on pranks and mock MMA content.
Despite looking young, Hasbulla is actually 18 years old and while it is known he was born in 2003, it’s not clear when his exact birthday is.
He had picked up the nickname ‘Mini Khabib’, in reference to legendary MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, after Magomedov replicated the former’s iconic weigh-in. The two now regularly appear in videos together.
Despite rumours that the two are related, it has not yet been confirmed to be the case.
Is there going to be a Hasbulla and Abdu Rozik fight?
Hasbulla’s most iconic video to emerge, so far, is a clip of him and Abdu Rozik holding a mock ‘press conference’ where the pair appear to throw insults at each other.
The fight was said to be being organised by Chechen MMA fighter Ashab Tamaev and has been heavily promoted by people close to them, however no date has been set, making it hard to tell whether the fight will or will not go ahead.
However, the tension between the two remains with the pair clashing outside the cage at UFC 267 last month. Both Magamedov and Rozik had been guests of legendary promoter Dana White.
Rozik was seen holding up a sign reading: “Hasbulla! Can you read this? Sign the contract… Stop talking so much!! Can you tell me your actual talent or only strawberry.
“Are you following me on Instagram, which is your account??”
There has been condemnation around the fight, with it being branded unethical by the Russian Dwarf Athletic Association.
Regardless, Hasbulla frequently taunts UFC stars such as Conor McGregor.
What condition does Hasbulla have?
Despite no confirmation of the specifics of his condition, he is believed to have a form of dwarfism that is also likely to be what causes him to have a higher pitch in his voice.
Hasbulla’s height is thought to be around 1 metre tall and estimated to weigh in at 16 kilograms (2.5 stone).
