Harry Kane stepped off the pitch after leading England to their first World Cup semi-final in 28 years and almost immediately FaceTimed his pregnant fiancee back home.
The Three Lions skipper led the line as his side won 2-0 in Samara thanks to goals from Harry Maguire and Dele Alli , setting up a last four clash with Croatia on Wednesday.
And after the game, Kane climbed into the stands and picked up a mobile phone to – according to the Daily Mail – FaceTime fiancee Kate Goodland back home in the UK.
Kane’s childhood sweetheart is heavily pregnant with the couple’s second child, and so opted to stay home during the tournament.
The Tottenham forward praised his side’s performance after the game, saying: “We looked composed. We looked like we controlled the game.
“I know the fans here are enjoying it. The fans at home, I’m sure we’ll see some videos tonight of them enjoying it.
“We know there is still a big game ahead with the semi-final, but we are feeling good and confident. We just have to go again, keep doing what we are doing and make the country proud.”
Kane was joined by several other England players in the stands after the match.
Midfielder Jordan Henderson was seen celebrating with his two daughters, while Eric Dier gave his shirt to a young fan.
Jesse Lingard, Jordan Pickford, Jamie Vardy and John Stones were also surrounded by family, while Maguire posed for photos with fans.
