Harry Kane insists he will not let talk of his future take his focus away from the jobs in hand for both Tottenham Hotspur and England, although admits that a decision will have to be made at the end of the summer.

With Spurs having a difficult season under Jose Mourinho, speculation has been rife over whether Kane will still be at the club next campaign.

The 27-year-old is yet to win a trophy in his career and Tottenham do not look any closer to picking up some silverware under Mourinho than they did with Mauricio Pochettino in charge.

Kane has been loyal to the club for his whole career to date, but he could soon be tempted to chase silverware elsewhere, with Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid all linked with moves for the prolific forward.

England are currently playing World Cup qualifiers and have the European Championships to contend over the summer, while Spurs are still battling to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Kane insists his on-pitch responsibilities are his only focus at the moment, but he will come to his personal future after the Euros and a decision will be made.

‘I think that’s a hard question to answer right now,’ Kane told the Telegraph on whether his future could be a distraction for him on the field.

‘It’s important that all my focus is on the two England games coming up now and the rest of the season with Spurs and then the Euros. To be thinking about speculation or rumours would be damaging in terms of my own performance.

‘I always like to be focused on one goal and one job and that’s to finish strong with Spurs, win these qualifiers with England and hopefully go on and have a great Euros.

‘Look, I try to stay out of that speculation as much as possible. I’m fully focussed on doing the job on the pitch from now until the end of the summer and then we’ll see where we go from there.’
