Halle Berry has halved her support payments to ex Gabriel Aubry to $8,000 after renegotiating the terms of their custody agreement in court.
The actress, 54, and the model, 44, who share 13-year-old daughter Nahla, began dating in 2006 and welcomed their child two years later.
The new terms come after Halle branded child support payments ‘extortion’ in an impassioned social media rant and claimed the rules were ‘outdated’.
Co-parents: Halle Berry has halved her support payments to ex Gabriel Aubry to $8,000 after renegotiating the terms of their custody agreement in court
In 2014 Halle was ordered to pay $16,000 a month to Gabriel in child support as they co-parented Nahla together.
After renegotiating, Halle will now hand over $8,000 a month in an arrangement which went into effect on 1 March.
In addition, according to The Blast, Halle will also give Gabriel a retroactive support payment of $85,000 and will pay his legal fees of $5,000.
The Monster’s Ball star will continue to pay for Nahla’s private school tuition and her health insurance, and if her annual income exceeds $1.95 million in any given year, she must hand over additional child support to Gabriel.
The former couple have also agreed to settle any future disputes with a private judge to avoid going through the court system and have agreed to exchange annual income information.

The agreement comes a month after Halle – who also has son Maceo, seven, with ex-husband Olivier Martinez – branded child support payments ‘extortion’.
She insisted both parents needed to take financial responsibility for their children in an apparent swipe at her former partner.
Halle had shared a meme on Instagram which read ‘women don’t owe you s***’, attracting a lot of comments from her followers.
And in response, the Cloud Atlas actress – who didn’t mention Gabriel by name – wrote: ‘It takes great strength eryday to pay it. and BTW it’s wrong and it’s extortion!
Claims: The former Bond girl previously claimed that Gabriel was ‘living off’ the payments she was sending as support for their daughter, according to Tmz
‘I’ve been paying it for a decade now. I feel if a woman or man is having to pay support that is way more than the reasonable needs to help SUPPORT the child, I think that is wrong!
‘I understand some parents (man or woman) may need help, but i also feel in these modern times both men and women have the responsibility to financially take care of their children and work hard and make every effort to do so.(sic)’
Halle believes the law allows some parents to abuse the system to get more money for themselves.

She wrote: ‘The way many laws are set up, people are allowed to USE children in order to be awarded money to live a lifestyle that not only did they not earn, but that is way above and beyond the child’s reasonable needs and that is ‘THE WRONG’ and where i see the abuse.(sic)’
The X-Men: Days of Future Past star went on to brand child support laws ‘outdated’ and insisted they ‘no longer reflect the modern world.’
She added: ‘I can say i’m living it everyday and i can tell you it’s hard. i do totally understand the feelings of those men who feel they are and have been taken advantage of by the system.(sic)’
Halle and Gabriel went their separate ways in 2010 after spending five years together, with reports at the time suggesting it was due to their age gap.
At the time, Gabriel said: ‘She is, and will forever be, one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known, and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another.’
Although they insisted they would ‘remain friends and committed parents’, Halle and Gabriel have since been embroiled in a legal battle after Halle tried relocate their daughter to France to live with her now ex-husband Olivier Martinez.
Halle, who is now dating singer Van Hunt, claimed her daughter would be better protected due to strict privacy rules in France but a judge blocked the move.

During one custodial hand-over on the driveway of Halle’s home Oliver and Gabriel were involved in a bust up and were both treated for injuries.
Halle previously filed legal documents requesting that her support payments were reduced by 80 per cent.
The former Bond girl claimed that Gabriel was ‘living off’ the payments she was sending as support for their daughter, according to Tmz.
Soon after Halle and Gabriel were back in court, after she claimed Gabriel straightened and dyed their daughter’s hair to make her look ‘more white’.
A judge ruled that neither parent can change Nahla’s natural hair texture or colour.
Halle said in court at the time: ‘I want both Gabriel and I to make decisions together that affect our daughter, her growth, her development and her general welfare.
‘I continue to hope that Gabriel and I can find a way to work together to be successful co-parents.
‘It was with regret that I concluded that I had to seek the court’s intervention on these issues, but until Gabriel recognises the meaning of joint legal custody and how it is implemented, it appears that the court will be my only resort to safeguard Nahla’s best interests.’
Before her relationship with Gabriel, Halle was married to R&B singer Eric Benet from 2001 until they separated in 2003.
Before Eric she was married to baseball player David Justice for four years.
