Hair-raising clip shows pro-cyclist Danny MacAskill try terrifying stunt on wind turbine blade

A dramatic clip has captured Danny MacAskill try out yet another daredevil stunt, this time on a wind turbine blade.

The spine-tingling clip starts with the pro-cyclist standing on top of the wind turbine soaring above the ground.

Letting viewers in on what it feels like to stand on the blade of the turbine, he admits it is bouncing in the Scottish winds.

But while others would be terrified MacAskill reveals he is ‘stoaked’.

He says: “It’s pretty breezy today. When you’re out at the end of the blade, it’s kind of bouncing like this. It’s just a cool feeling getting to do this kind of stuff. Pretty stoaked.”

The star cyclist, who calls for a switch to greener energy in the clip, then makes his way to end of the blade.

The hair-tingling footage then pans out as the Scots cyclist stands on the tip of wind turbine and raises his bike above his head in triumph.

MacAskill adds: “It’s so high up in doesn’t feel high in some ways. It’s unrealistically high up, so I was just out there bobbing about.”

But while he may have kept his cool, he did admit it was ‘slippy stuff’.

Macaskill took part in the stunt to raise awareness of renewable energy ahead of the Cop26 climate summit.

He says in the clip: “I didn’t quite realise how abundant renewable energy is. It’s a good feeling knowing that renewable energy is taking off and the balance is changing.

“It’s going to be the future and hopefully the planet can start healing.”
