GWEN Stefani went head to head with her boyfriend Blake Shelton to win over singer Jordan Chase in The Voice on Tuesday.
Shelton admitted it would be ‘no cuddles for Blakey’ as he joked that he was risking his relationship to bid for the 19-year-old to join his team.
“I’m probably going to pay for this later. That’s how much I love you,” Blake told Chase as the pair bickered in front of the singing hopeful.
“I’m putting it out there for you” implored the country-music star, before clarifying he meant laying his cards out to persuade the teen to come to Team Blake in the latest round of the Blind Auditions on NBC.
Gwen, who looked stunning in a gold strapless bodice which bore her name, appealed for Chase to join her team over that of her long-term boyfriend.
She wore her platinum locks in a sleek embellished ponytail and vamped up her pout with bright red lipstick as she joked: “I like fighting with you” to Blake.
John Legend joked that “American’s favourite couple” were going to “fight it out.”
“I hate you,” Gwen told her boyfriend, as they sparred before Chase made his choice between the twosome.
Smokey-voiced Jordan, who was a child when Hurricane Katrina hit his home town of New Orleans, sang Makin’ Me Look Good Again”.
‘Music was his escape and outlet,” explained his mum in a confessional of their time in the town after the flooding hit their homes.
Kelly Clarkson could not contain her delight that the couple were battling it out for the sand-paper voiced singer.
Gwen and Blake met on The Voice and got together after they split from their respective partners.
Stefani was married to Gavin Rossdale who reportedly cheated on her and they split in 2015; they share three sons.
Shelton was married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert for four years until 2015. Months after they split, Blake and Gwen got together.
