Grace Jones by Tim Bret-Day, 2010
Outtakes from an Evening Standard Magazine shoot. Grace’s preferred choice was this red image, however the editor wanted to run the cover with closed mouth. Bret-Day says: ‘It’s probably my favourite shoot ever. She started at 1am, and there were all these oysters, and she had a certain vintage of red wine, and I thought, “This is going to be really difficult”, and it was just the opposite. We shot all night until 10am the next morning. And then she wanted a print, I sent her a print, and then she sent me back a signed album, just really nice’
