Gary Neville says he is ‘bored’ of Manchester United’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho and wants to know Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s next transfer target.

The Red Devils look set to bring Sancho to Old Trafford after making progress with Borussia Dortmund over a summer transfer move.

Sancho was first linked with Manchester United last summer but the Premier League club initially baulked at Dortmund’s valuation of the England star.

Last week, United increased their offer for Sancho to 85m euros (£72.5m) and, while Dortmund are still holding out for more money, it appears likely that the 21-year-old will head to the Theatre of Dreams after Euro 2020.

Reacting to the news Manchester United are making progress on the Sancho transfer, Neville said on social media: ‘Manchester United closing in on Sancho… again!

‘A transfer should be a joy and a moment of excitement. I’ve never been more bored by a transfer in my life to the point I feel like he’s already signed and I want to know who is next already. Not the lads fault at all I should say!’

Sancho is currently part of England’s squad at the European Championships but barely featured in the group stage as Gareth Southgate’s side topped Group D with two wins and a draw.

On Tuesday, the Three Lions face Germany at Wembley in the last 16.

Sancho has been one of the stars of the Bundesliga over the past two seasons and Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson recently heaped praise on the youngster.

Speaking to Bild, Fergie said: ‘I think a lot of Jadon Sancho. With his one-on-one duels, as an assister and scorer, he is extremely dangerous.

‘He has so much potential, he helps the team. That’s why he’ll be valuable to England over the course of the tournament.’
