Ganduje lists healthcare, education, infrastructure as key achievement in the past six years

Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Saturday recounted the achievements of his administration in the past six years singling out education, health care delivery and infrastructural as sone of his uncommon feats.

The Governor spoke at this sixth anniversary ceremony held at Kano Government House.

The ceremony also featured the empowerment of fish sellers in thr state and the presentation of admission letters to 200 Peugeot Automobile trainees from the state.

Ganduje disclossd that his administration has made education free to indegines of the state from primary to secondary while admitting that he has satisfactorily addressed the issue of almajiri education

The Governor observed that education not entails the political will but also the issue of funding, stating that he has disbursed billions of Naira to drive and implement the template of education in thr state .

He disclosed the state government has settled it UBEC counterpart funding with the Federal government starting from 2015 up to 2020 adding that this is evidenced in the arrays of projects going on in the sector

The Governor also acknowledged his achievements in the healthcare sector, pointing out the on going construction of a 400 bed hospitals in each of the four emirates councils of the state.

He said these hospitals will be fully equipped woth world class medical facilities adding that they would be complemented with an eye clinic, dental clinic, an ear clinic and top flight laboratory center.

Ganduje also spoke glowingly about the construction of the N7billion ultra mordern Cancer Treatment Center in thr state, saying that when completed the facility would be second to none in the sub region .

Ganduje added that his administration’s investment in the healty sector is designed to put an end medical tourism and deliver world class health care for the people of the state. end.
