Fulham vs Southampton LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Premier League fixture tonight

Zinedine Zidane: ‘Winning six consecutive games isn’t easy’

Scott Parker’s side have enjoyed something of a resurgence this month after a such a disastrous start to the season. The Cottagers are now unbeaten in their last three games and were bitterly unlucky against Newcastle last time out, with Joachim Anderson’s controversial red card since overturned on appeal. They will have to manage without their head coach in the dugout, though, after a member of Parker’s household tested positive for Covid-19.

Southampton will provide imposing opposition, with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side in tremendous form thus far. The Saints have taken 24 points from their 14 games so far, leaving them just seven points adrift of leaders Liverpool. They will have to manage without prolific striker Danny Ings, though, who has been ruled out with injury, but Che Adams and Theo Walcott have already proved they can thrive in the England international’s absence. Southampton suffered defeat by Man City last weekend but will confident of getting back to winning ways at Craven Cottage. Follow all the action live below:

HIGH-FLYING SAINTS

A win for Southampton will take them above Everton and into the top four.

They have been brilliant this season, with rejuvenated players like Theo Walcott finding new life.

With Ings out, can Southampton continue their push for a European place?

SAINTS ON BOXING DAY

Southampton have won six of their previous eight on Boxing Day, with their only defeat during that time coming in a 5-2 loss to Tottenham in 2017.

It will be interesting to see how they fare against Spurs without Danny Ings.

BOXING DAY WOES

Fulham have not won a Boxing Day fixture since 2003, drawing three times and losing once since.

However, their last Premier League win on this annual holiday came at home to Southampton. Will lightening strike twice?
