Four players who could lead Arsenal revival for Mikel Arteta after Chelsea win

Arsenal appear to be on the right track again after a convincing 3-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta rang the changes for the Boxing Day clash against the Blues, with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang not even coming on off the bench.

So now it’s out with the old and in with the new, the beginning’s of a revival are in motion at the Emirates Stadium, and the dressing room will no doubt feel they can turn things around this season.

The emergence of Bukayo Saka as a leading player in the Premier League have shown how much ability there is among the club’s younger ranks.

So here are the four players are are set to lead Arsenal ’s revival under Mikel Arteta.

Kieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney has become a vital player for Arsenal

The left-back has been one of Arsenal’s strongest players this season, and appears to be one of the most important players in the current system.

But more importantly, Tierney has shown that fighting spirit that seems to be missing among Arteta’s ranks.

The Scotland international just needs to stay fit and keep his head down. If he does that, he’s future captain material and could be the man to lead Arsenal to future glory.

Bukayo Saka

Comfortably Arsenal’s player of the season, and even in with a shout of getting in to the Premier League team of the season at this rate.

His versatility at 19 years old is just astounding – whether it’s in attack or defence, you know he will give everything he has week in, week out, and he’ll do it well.

He’s also been one of England’s best players in recent months, and just needs to show he can do it consistently over the course of the season.

Emile Smith Rowe

Emile Smith Rowe could be a huge player in years to come for Arsenal

He’s only played a few minutes this season really, but every time Smith Rowe steps out onto the pitch, he brings that spark Arsenal have been lacking.

The attacking-midfielder reads the game brilliantly, and he could be that replacement for Mesut Ozil many have been calling for.

Now he’s fully fit again, Smith Rowe is likely to get plenty more minutes, and he could play a big role in turning the tide for the Gunners.

Gabriel Martinelli

Another youngster who is finally fit again, Martinelli is in a similar boat to Smith-Rowe, and has looked very lively when he’s been on the pitch.

Martinelli showed last season how much he can give, rejecting a place in the youth ranks and becoming a first team regular having only really played in the Brazilian second tier.

Again, the 19 year old’s biggest issue will be staying fit and finding consistency; if he does that, Arsenal are on to a winner.
